About Wellbeck
Wellbeck Equestrian Centre is situated 3miles from the M5 just below Exeter Airport. The centre is run by Malcolm Attrill with the assistance of his wife Nettie son James & a great team of stewards on show days.
Wellbeck is the only centre in Devon to specialise solely in Dressage training & competitions. It was decided to stop showjumping in 2005 to concentrate on the discipline both Malcolm & Nettie are most interested in ( by the numbers of riders we get here for both training and competition we made the right decision ).
During the months between April & October monthly Affiliated competitions are held for all levels from Novice to PSG. Shearwater Young Horse Qualifiers have been held in previous years (Carl Hester entered 2 years running!!!).
Unaffiliated competitions are run approximately every 3 weeks all year round for Prelim & Novice levels. Nervous / Novice riders are encouraged to have a go & will be given plenty of encouragement & help.
Wellbeck has trainers for all levels from those who just want to improve their riding skills or go on to compete in unaffiliated & affiliated competitions right up to advanced riders, all riders are catered for.
We have regular training from some of the best trainers like Adam Kemp, and our own Kate Simmonds who is here twice weekly. Anyone interested in training is welcome to come and watch a session. For more details click on the TRAINING page.
