We shall be handing out test sheets and rosettes at the event, however we do ask that everyone continues to maintain social distancing at all times and respect other people’s space.

Entries and payment

  • Due to Covid-19 Entries will be limited. (Priority is given to those entering 2 tests).
  • All entries and payment must be done via our online entry on our website. NONE  BY TEXT OR FACEBOOK
  • Late entries may be accepted. However, after times and breaks have been published, late entries can only be fitted in to withdrawal slots.  
  • As a condition of entry, competitors must agree to adhere to all government regulations and protocols relating to public health, hygiene and social distancing.

Competition times

  • Once times have been published no further changes may be made. All withdrawals must be notified.  


  • Spectators arerreminded that social distancing of 2m should be maintained wherever possible and that crowds are discouraged.
  • Where an additional person is required for safeguarding purposes (e.g. parent / guardian or carer of a rider who is under 18), that person must observe social distancing requirements at all times
  • We apologise but due to Covid-19 regulations we are unable to run a canteen and the caravan is out of bounds to all members of the public.

Arrival at venue and parking

  • As per current DEFRA policy, horses must have up to date vaccinations in order to compete and passports must be carried with the horse at all times.
  • A car park marshal will be available to ensure safe parking is maintained, in accordance with social distancing guidelines. Alternatively, parking bays will be clearly marked out.
  • All car / lorry / trailer / horsebox parking must be a minimum of three metres apart from other vehicles to allow sufficient space for horses to be loaded / unloaded.
  • No horses should be tied up and left unaccompanied at horseboxes / trailers.
  • Clear signage will be displayed, reminding competitors of social distancing measures and highlighting any specific access and egress routes that are in place, avoiding cross-over points.
  • A one-way system is in place, please observe the signs and help maintain appropriate safety guidance.
  • Where an additional person is required for safeguarding purposes, such as a parent, guardian or carer of a under 18 competitor, that person must observe all social distancing requirements.

Warm up arena .

  • Warm up time is limited to a maximum of 40 minutes prior to going down the centre line.
  • Competitor numbers using the warm up arena should be managed effectively, with a maximum of six individuals permitted at any one time (one in one out) in order to maintain social distancing.
  • Riders should aim to maintain a distance of three horse lengths apart from other competitors at all times while using the warm up facilities.
  • The warm up area will be monitored by a steward / marshal to ensure that riders adhere to these restrictions at all times.

Completion of test, results and test sheets

  • A one way system will be used and both entrances to the arena will be used. There will be no return to the warm up arena.
  • No scores will be published on a public scoreboard or score sheets available on the day
  • Results will be published on the our website within 48 hours of the competition
  • With no score sheets available on the day, digital / scanned photocopies of test sheets are to be sent via em after the event as paper copies will not be available on the day.
  • Any rosettes and score sheets can be collected at the next event.


Class Rules   BD riders that have competed at Medium or above must enter HC

BD Quest riders can enter all classes

Intro. Combinations not to have won two 1st at Wellbeck. BD riders can only enter HC

Prelim. Combinations currently competing at Affiliated BD must enter HC

Novice. Combinations currently competing Novice and above at Affiliated BD must enter HC

All competitors compete at their own risk.

Organisers hold no responsibility for loss, damage or injury.

Organisers hold the right to combine classes should numbers be low.

You are requested to follow the rules set out below to assist with the running of the show and to avoid any accidents also so as not to hinder or impede other competitors.

Current PAS 015 approved hats MUST be worn at all times when mounted.

BD rules regarding tack will apply.

No lunging or pedestrians on the warm-up arena

You must come to the collecting ring when called

All boots/bandages to be removed outside the warm-up arena


All dogs must be kept on leads in all areas at all times.
